New Cards

Well, I made 5 new cards today.  Three are the same and two are these cute owl cards I saw on Pinterest.  One of the owl cards is for mom (she's 67 next Sunday) and one is for a church friend, who's birthday is on Saturday.

I made 3 of these in a few colors. They came out really cute.

This is the inside of the below card.

This is a window card and I put a "snowy" background behind it.  This one is going to Mom.

This one is for my friend. I so hope she loves it.

I really enjoyed spending my afternoon making these cars.  Fun, fun, fun!  I love to make special cards for my loved ones to brighten their day.  Thanks!

BTW, sorry the photos are blurry.  I can't seem to get my camera to focus when I take card photos.  :(

Christmas Cards!!!!

Well, I made 36 cards for family & friends this year and I'm so happy to have been able to get them signed, sealed and delivered to them all. :)  Here they are:

Peace On Earth stamped on blue.

I just love how these came out.  My favorite are the black ones with the birds.  I was really impressed with my creation of this one.  :)  Enjoy!

Getting busy for the season

Well, I've been getting really busy with the on arrival of  the Holiday Season.  Stamping, card making, envelope addressing, cleaning, planning, etc.  So, here is what I've been working on and just loving to share with you all.

Everyone loves Christmas-y trees.  These are done in gray.

This set was done in Silver glitter and glitter paper.

This is so cute!  The SU 1/2 Wood Mount Case, decorated and filled!

Playing cards, note pad, small pen and a few candies!

This is a treat bag that was cut down from a treat envelope and redesigned.

LOVE THIS CARD!!  Made with two single stamps, an embossing folder & silver cardstock.

I love the stamp used here on the inside.  It's just beautiful!

Now, this little beauty is what I am sending out that I produced for my personal Christmas Cards.  I love the snowflake dies and the beauty of this card is simply but elegant.

Then I made this little cutie using the SU circle framelit.  I saw a card with a different bird; but loved the concept, so I changed it up a bit and this is the end result!

Used the Tim Holtz Globe die cutter and cut off the globe part before mounting it on a green circle.  I also spritzed it with blue ink to get a multi-colored impression for the water.  I love how this one came out!  It is by far my favorite this year.

So, I have been a busy little stamper!  I just love creating and sharing around this season.  I'm actually using green, blue and purple (like a peacock) on my tree this year.  I can't wait to decorate it and photograph it to share.  Thanks for looking and happy crafting!

New Tags

So, I've been busy making tags and just got the opportunity to share them.  The new school year has been keeping us busy.  My son is in chess club and after school Jazz band, so we have a full schedule with that, plus church and youth group.

Anyway, here are the tags I've made the past few weeks.

I love this guy!  I've used this digital stamp on many things I've made.  He's so "misunderstood".  "One day, I'll fly away."

I experimented with a paste & stencil for the background on top of the regular background, added the wings and bottle cap and saying.  Not too bad, I guess.

Queen (of hearts)

Travel Log -- using the jalopy mask, silver spritz, 1/2 a car stamp, mileage stamp and part of a collage stamp for the road trip.

I have Zebra, Compositions and Kites!

Sewing tag, Key to Heart, & "ruin"

OWLS!!!, Jesus, Dream Angel

Tea Time & Aloha

Each one a bit different.  I'm really trying to kick start my creativity again.  I don't know, I see things I like around the internet; but I'm not sure if I'm "doing it" well.  <shrug> BUT .... at least I'm not giving up again. :)

New creations in carding

Yesterday's card class was fun and the last for my son this summer.  He loved coming and creating this summer and will miss it; but it is back to school for him on Thursday. :)

It's Christmas in August.  (I know it is usually July; but we waited for the new mini to go live to create these.)

Using the Calm Christmas stamp set, we made this cute gift card holder card.  Love it!  We made a baby wipe stamp pad and then stamped the dove.  It came out beautifully.
As you can see, a nice place to store a gift card and then a "peek a boo" message!
Message slipped in under the dsp.  Too cute!

Next, we Deck the Halls with this ornament card.
I love how the ornament peeks right through.

Then we made a quick and cute card using the illuminate pad and a wilderness set.
I just love how this card came out.  It was quick, easy and a beauty.
What a nice way to tell someone you are thinking of them. :)

I'm working on some tags using the themes listed on the Tag Tuesday blog site to jump start my paper crafting and I have a bunch I need to photograph and share.  I'll get on it this week!  I just love working in paper and trying new techniques.  I've really had a great time exploring the possibilities with the themes available.  Fun, fun, fun!

Bon Voyage!!!!

Greetings!!!  I've been a busy girl this morning and created a few fun things to share!!!  First off, I made a cute little file folder mini tag Bon Voyage album.  It is super cute and I love how it came out.
Here's a shot of the cover!!!

Page one & two
Nothing like deciding your destination and then getting your room!

Page three & four
Nothing like capturing those vacation memories!  Remember it is the journey, not the destination that matters most!  JUST ESCAPE!!!

Of course, after a great vacation, there's no place like home!!!

Above are the coordinating tags for each pocket in the folder.

Then, because no voyage is complete without a little mischief, I made this large tag of my favorite pirate pal, Captain Hook!   I used the Octopode Factory digital stamp of Hook and the rest is completely hand made.  I made the tag out of balsa wood, painted a skull & cross bones and just had fun.  Oh and the sword is made of metal tape.  Hope you like it!

Stamp-A-Stack Class

Okay, there are 6 new cards here.  One male version and the other female version.  It's all about the technique and versatility of the design. :)

This first one is the "Grunge" look.  Just your standard craft stock and a bit of grungy stamping with lines, drops and splashes.  My favorite that we did in this class.

Next up, we used the honey comb embossing folder on both cards; but the used different hexagonal stamps to decorate.  Notice we used summer, soft colors and the female card; but basic grey,  black and white on the male card.

Finally, we have these two -- BOW TIES!!!!  'Cause "bow ties" are cool! :)  These cute little bow tie cards were super easy and fun.  We folded paper chevrons for the bottom to jazz them up.  Again, the soft pastel female contrasts with the black and silver male versions.

Next month, we're doing Christmas fun.  However, I found a great website with Tag making prompts that I'm going to start following and creating with, so we shall see how it all goes.  Enjoy!

Getting Creative

Went to my stamping group this week and made a few really cute cards!!!  I loved the new techniques we played with.  Like the "bee card" where we colored the combs and then added some glaze to make the honey look wet.  Love it!!!  Then we made a raindrop card with a sunburst inside!!  We also made a sunshine card with sunglasses.  Fun, fun, fun!!!

Check out the bees!!!  We used acetate to "pop" them up off the card.

We used a brayer to create these sun rays beneath the stamped image of the shades.

We added some sparkle to these boots with a bit of glitter.

Check out the raindrops.  What a way to focus on them.

Then, we checked out a few of the cards our Creative Coach made that were such a WOW!  A beautiful peacock and check out that hotrod!!!

Happy Stamping!!!
